In our country the Small and Micro Enterprises SME has a lack of credit sources. This fact constitutes a permanent problem; even if diverse specialized entities develop credit programs guided the SME in the national environment.

Inside that context, the appropriate guarantees for the SME is very important, mainly in the financial market of economies not stabilized as in the case of some countries of Latin America. This guarantees allow to the SME have the back complementary to the payment capacity to consolidate its operations in an appropriate and opportune way, helping to generate more work, facing with determination the chronic problems of unemployment that we suffer from decades. In that sense, it is necessary remark that for 25 years, FOGAPI comes working arduously to support, promote and advise direct or indirectly to the SME of diverse nature belong any economic sector of our country. FOGAPI apply diverse modalities of guarantees for the entrepreneurs: for obtain suppliers' credit, advances of contracts and participate in public and private competitions (in equality of conditions) for elevate its level of competitiveness and to assure their work sources.

I shall highlight that FOGAPI has implanted the innovative Service of Portfolio of Credits, successfully implanted for the SME (This service was winner of the Prize Entrepreneurial Creativity 2001 in Peru), where it works jointly with other financial entities (regulated by the Superintendence of Banking) to facilitate credits to the SME. Now we have a WEB Site (www.fogapi.com.pe) and we modernize our job in order to optimize our service for the SME. So they will have a very dynamic interaction with us, access to key information on the State Purchases and activities linked to the sector.

We will facilitate with this site the information and the essential orientation to be in aptitude of requesting the guarantees that the SME requires. Also, with the use of this modern electronic communication, the SME will be able to be linked easily with other entities that offer them support.
